Amphibians & Reptiles of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks
Published in Paperback by Univ of Utah Pr (Trd) (October, 1995)
Average review score:

Scientifically sound and easy to readI laughed, I cried; two thumbs up! A science-based book, complete with citations of all the current literature, coupled with a readable, flowing style of writing. An important repository of all the scientific knowledge of these species in this region and issues affecting them (e.g., fire, climate change), yet engaging even to younger amateur herpetologists. Or, of interest to anyone who simply loves Yellowstone and the Tetons.

The Balloon Galloon
Published in Paperback by IM Press (September, 2001)
Average review score:

Balloon Galloon wins the dayWhile celebrating a special occasion eating in a nice restaurant near Seattle, my 4-year-old was devastated when his celebration balloon drifted up to the high ceiling. I picked up the "Balloon Galloon" as his bedtime story that evening, not knowing it told of this creature which eats the balloons lost by children all over the world. No book could have fit the occasion better, and several days after that my grandson would mention the hero of the story and want reassured that there really isn't such a creature as the Balloon Galloon. It's a book children will enjoy and remember.

Best Easy Day Hikes Beartooths
Published in Digital by Falcon Publishing ()
Average review score:

IndispensableI live in southwest Montana, and I can say that this is really the best resource for those who want to explore the Beartooths. The amount of information provided for each hike is amazing - what an undertaking it must have been to put this together! The result is a very readable, most informative guide. There's a reason that there aren't a plethora of guides to the Beartooths on the market - it's been done right the first time.

The Book: Guide to Mountain Biking in the Jackson Hole Area
Published in Spiral-bound by Prax Photography & Productions (11 August, 2001)
Average review score:

Easy to followThis book has some great trails and the descriptions make them easy to follow. I also bought the other JH guide book and found some of the "trails" to be lame and the descriptions were bad - I got lost. I highly reccomend THE BOOK! It's fun to read too.

Coyotes and Canaries: Characters Who Made the West Wild and Wonderful
Published in Paperback by High Plains Pr (August, 2002)
Average review score:

Terrific tales told by a top-notch storyteller and writerI have learned to look for Larry Brown's works, and developed admiration for his ability to ferret out fascinating, little-known (till now) stories about the Old West. Once again, his research is unbeatable, and ability to weave the research into great -- and fun -- reading makes this the kind of book that makes you want more - more - more!

Soul-touching tale of struggle in any walk of life. This book not only tells the story of hardships suffered by a ranching family in Wyoming, but of
